Catherine Burns
65 today
Whilst not strictly speaking a child star Catherine is mostly remembered for her Oscar noinated performace as Rhoda in Last Summer (1969) when she was aged just 24, and playing considerably younger. After a solid but unspectacular career in television she stopped acting in 1984. Anyone know what Catherine did next?
I dunno what happened to her career, but she was fantastic in Last Summer. When we did Stinkylulu's Supporting Actress smackdown last year for 1969, I totally had her as number 1. Her big monologue in the film is acted fantastically, even though I mostly hated the film.

getting back to the Smackdown, it was Susannah York who won it and I was like wtf?! :)

I have to confess I've not seen her performance so I'm unable to judge her, but I usually find your judgement sound so I'll have to try and find it..
