Today's birthday is for another iconic star, but unfortunately one who couldn't reach out past one iconic role. Joel Grey simply is the emcee in Cabaret. To celebrate here he is:
That's very kind of you - it's amazing what can be achieved with good lighting. You look pretty damn fine yourself, especially the picture in your introduction post in your Oscar blog.
It's a judgement of Paris like decision between the 2 performances, especially in retrospect (knowing Pacino would be better in part 2 and that he eventually won for Scent of a Woman; or where Grey's career would go and how no-one really varies from his template on the role).
This is one of the reasons why as much as I love and obsess over the Oscars I disagree with the whole concept of judging performances, especially when they are as varied as Joel vs. Al.
just wanted to say you seem hot, that's all! :)))
ReplyDeleteAlex.
p.s.: I'm still not sure about Joel Grey's Oscar win. him or Pacino?! A tough call, really.
