Quick update the filming on Tuesday and Wednesday was lots of fun. Cutting the corpses arm off was suitably gory and the relationship between my character and my wife seemed to work fine in front of the camera. Hopefully that will translate to the final product. I should get a set photo this week, and I'll be sure to post that.
I'll be going off on the Of Mice and Men tour this week, so all of a sudden the output will drop.
Not completely, of course, I have birthday posts written until I come back after the tour and Tuesday trailers for a few weeks, I've even prepped some of the Friday release posts. Generally though it will go quiet. I won't be able to respond to comments, or do a weekly news post or review films. I will try though, whenever I get the opportunity to slip into an internet cafe and keep you posted on any developments.

Personal News (07/02/09)
It seems incredibly but I've not done a personal news story since way back in September. It's not that i haven't been trying to get work, it's just that I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere and I've not really had the opportunity to get involved.
We're now only two weeks away from resuming the Of Mice and Men tour, notices from the first half of the tour were positive so I'll be glad to get back into the regular work pattern. I would now link you to some reviews as published on the school websites, but I can't find one that mentions me by name (an actor almost simultaneously playing 3 roles is the closest I can find) so in a fit of pique you're not getting anything.
I've also managed to get a role in a short student film Dead Weight. It's not paid but it's a fun script, mainly revolving around physical comedy, so it should be a blast, and if it goes well may be a good addition to my library for when it comes to getting an agent. Filming is on Tuesday and Wednesday so I'll let you know next week how it's gone. As ever I hope to get a copy online.

Personal News (21/09/09)
I don't do enough personal news, or at least I haven't over the summer. I gues that's because I haven't really been looking for, or when I have been looking getting, work.
I've tried, applications sent out, couple of telephone auditiona, but to be honest my heart has not been in it. I've been stuck here in Melksham, running and looking forward to the autumn tour, knowing that anything else would have to be squeezed in before or held until after. And the fact that I shall be moving back up North also made the hunt easy to put off.
Thanks to this man - John Steinbeck dontcha know - I am back on the road today.
I will try and keep blogging over the next few months. All the birthdays and Tuesday trailers are written in advance, and I have the bare bones of the releases ready, but they will go out on Saturdays or Sundays rather than on Friday. I also have a review for Away we Go to post, but I'm too lazy to have done that over the weekend.
Please carry on posting comments and I will reply to as many as I can (probably more than I currently do) but there may be a delay. Love to you all, Ben. x x

Personal News (03/05/09)
I really must get into the habit of writing this when I'm meant to, and not a couple of days later when I've nothing else to do.
So anyway. Rehearsals for Lifelong Yearning are now fully underway, I've even met the entire cast. You can get details of the dates and venues on RemoteGoat and from there book tickets. Look forward to seeing you all there.
I've also signed up for another season of Of Mice and Men. I'm slightly worried about being stale, but half the cast are changing so that should help. More details (with a schedule) when I have it.
As promised, at some time I'm sure, here is the trailer/promo for Fleeced the gangster comedy I've been involved with (filmed middle of last year). Obviously this is just a very rough cut in order to be able to secure funding to actually make the film rather than just the promo. Feel free to tell me what you think in the comments.

Finally I also have to tell you that Bahrain was absolutely beautiful. The race was superb, really exciting. And I've decided, being the cheap tart that I am, to support the driver I thought was the most attractive. Ladies and gentlemen I give you Heikki Kovaleinen:

mmm Heikki. I'm off to bed now.

Oh yes, the blog
I have some excuses...
The tour was heavy - that's the Of Mice and Men tour fantastic reviews by the way.
Straight after it finished I went to Bahrain to see my neice. Ahhh.
Then my boyfriend left me. Not so Ahh.
I went home to the folks for Christmas and now I'm unemployed and looking for a new home.
So the blog was put on hold a little. It will all pick up agian tomorrow. We'll have a star birthday, an update on my acting gigs coming up (2 whole plays) and I'll even start a countdown of the 20 films I'm most looking forward to in 2009.
For the moment here is a photo of the cast of Of Mice and Men. This was early on in the tour so we all still look awake:

In case you're wondering I'm the guy on the left with the broken nose and receeding hair - gotta love being a character actor....
HAPPY NEW YEAR
