Amazingly Moody was only in his thities when he defined the role of Fagin in Lionel Bart's musical adaptation of Oliver Twist, later translating that success to the screen in 1968. Whilst that success was worthy he never managed to escape from the shadow, so there is little else on his CV to commend him - last seen in long running TV drama The Bill.
